At the meeting those LGBT people who have had MRI’s support in setting up small businesses updated the group about the progress they have made and the challenges they are facing. The group worked collectively to offer solutions for such challenges.

The sharing part of the meeting was followed by two hours of training on how to design a business plan, delivered by professionals from Micro Rainbow’s financial partner, CMK. The full training (in Khmer) can be accessed on Facebook.

Sivelongly, transwoman small entrepreneur said:
“I would like to have these meetings every month because I can share what I have done, learn from other inspirational businesses, and receive training from professionals”.

Kuy Thida, a transman small entrepreneur said:
“I really enjoyed the meeting. It is the first time that I learned how to prepare a business plan. People who do business need to also learn about saving because it is important if you want to grow your business”.
